Can CGC help me find a home site to build on if I
don’t have one?
If you are not interested in any of our currently available sites, or if no sites are currently available, then we will be happy to connect you with realtors in the local market who we work with on a regular basis, and who will guide you through the process.
Will I be able to choose my own colors, flooring, cabinets and lighting?
Absolutely! We want to make sure that your custom home, remodeled home, or renovated home precisely fits your style and vision. While we are happy to provide you with recommendations based on our experience and feedback from our many satisfied clients, be assured that you will always have the ability to select all of your own finishes.
What can I expect during the construction process?
Our goal is to make the construction process as pleasant and smooth for you as possible. As long as the site is safe for non-construction personnel, you and your guests will enjoy the freedom to come and go as you please.
Do I need blueprints already created in order to receive a quote from you?
We recommend that you create blueprints for us to provide you with a 100% accurate and inclusive proposal. However, in most instances we can create a reasonably realistic estimate for you prior to the production of plans.
What are the advantages of building a home with CGC?
The main advantage is our in-depth collective experience. We perform new construction and restoration of both residential and commercial buildings. Being involved in both the new construction of structures, as well as the restoration of structures, has enabled us to develop a unique viewpoint on building standards and methods. In addition, we have first-hand experience of the when, where, how and why systems work at optimal levels — and just as importantly, why they may fail, and how to avoid this from happening.
Do I need a construction loan to build a home with you?
Typically, yes. While we do not provide financing for new construction homes, we are happy to introduce you to our roster of strategic partners throughout the industry, which includes (but is not limited to) realtors, mortgage brokers, lenders, developers, design professionals and suppliers.
How long will it take to build a home with you?
The timeline varies depending on each home’s specific size and project details. Generally, an average 2,000 square foot home with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a 2-car garage can be built in under 1 year.
How do you handle change requests?
While we stress the importance of proper planning and pre-construction collaboration, we understand that changes happen. We address each change order on a case-by-case basis. We always do our best to minimize non-budgeted costs for our clients.
